The tourism education and training system undergoes intense restructuring which starts with redefining qualifications and developing the possibilities training organisations have to provide relevant training programmes. Qualification redefining was triggered by the need to provide coherent and open training channels allowing for access to those willing to choose a job in tourism. The development of the skills of the future employees presupposes the existence of trainers, who use both relevant information and methods meant to improve the skills and abilities of the trainees. Vocational training is no longer an exclusive concern of the education system and training institutions. Greater emphasis is laid on forming partnerships between the training institution, on the one hand, and employers, communities in general, on the other hand. The training network which involves all the participants in the process of creating relationships that lead to the development of a strategy and long-term decision-making is the form under which these partnerships are achieved. Particularly important is a multidisciplinary approach, which is a prerequisite of vocational training in tourism. Tourism education presupposes the participation of all players and learning from others’ experience (or mutual learning). There already are multiple examples of this type of learning namely schools and universities which develop partnerships in order to identify common solutions. Tourism sustainable development implies equal opportunities for all participants and a new approach to moral values. The author of this paper sets forth several solutions regarding the training of human resources in tourism, on short and medium term so that tourism could exert its beneficial effects in Romania.

Youth tourism has a long tradition in Europe and is no stranger to Romania, being practiced here since 1968, two of the most important resorts are Costinești and Izvorul Mureșului. This paper aims to be the first who bring attention about the significant role in the development of youth tourism by the non-formal education and by her methods of activity. The future of the Romanian youth tourism in the national and international market consists in the cooperation of all stakeholders in creating a system for the Millennial Generation. The Romanian youth tourism is an extremely important segment of tourism industry able to generate long term profit.

The Agrotourism is a form of tourism by which Romania can diversify its offer in this field, as to other countries. The rural area habits, landscapes and foods which are made in the own household, all contribute to attracting both domestic and foreign tourists. Most often than not, they are people who spend most of their time in crowded cities and want to have a traditional style holiday. This article includes a quality research of the promoting materials distributed by the entities in the agricultural field and a quantity research regarding the evolution of financing of the projects submitted as part of Measure 313 – “Encouragement of tourist activities” in the 2008-2011 period. Elements were considered, such as: accuracy of the information presented, complete presentation of the contact points, presentation of good practices and examples of businesses in agrotourism.

The scientific activities represent currently the support of innovations, which in turn contribute to a competitive advantage and thus to economic growth. They help in the development of more efficient production processes and management methods, as well as in providing high quality products and services, thus having a significant contribution in economic growth and to increase the quality of life. The analysis of their evolution provides useful information regarding the importance of innovation in Romania. In this context, the aim of this paper is to highlight the extent to which the scientific activities were present in the national economy during 2008-2013 and this will be accomplished through relevant economic indicators, GDP and the employed population. In the last part of the study the previsions of both indicators for 2014-2016 period will be presented.

Once the Romania's EU access, the concept of social responsibility became more and more acquainted by the campaigns of Romania and the population as well. Within this context, campaigns are faced with a new challenge: adopting a responsible behaviour towards community and environment along their activities regarding the business environment. The purpose of our study is to answer the questions related to the Corporate Social Responsibility concept after the European Union accession: (1) How the social responsibility campaigns improved during the economic crisis? (2) Why the local and multinational companies in Romania have adopted the Corporate Social Responsibility practice? (3) What was the influence of these campaigns on community? The research is based on information about eighteen enterprises from Romania, obtained by analysing the specialized sites. Results show that there is a strong relationship between the concepts of the Lisbon Strategy - as social renewal, business competitiveness and sustainable development –and the social responsibility principles. Through this correlation we identified the main reasons why nowadays companies in Romania assume the responsibility on community. However, beside this social responsibility, which is fundamental, the Corporate Social Responsibility concept also means having an ethical behaviour regarding economic activities and respecting the law. This way we can affirm we have now a clear vision of the Corporate Social Responsibility concept, an ample subject regarding social behaviour of enterprises.
